Kroger’s new grocery store in the Corryville neighborhood was designed differently from the locations within the region. The building area footprint at the Corryville location is roughly 60,000 square feet less than the average Kroger store due to the compactness of the neighborhood area.
Kroger Corryville isn’t just unique because of its size differential either. Unlike the other Kroger locations, it contains an elevator encapsulated in a brick masonry shell adorned with a “living plant wall.” Additionally, it is only the second Kroger in the nation to have a second floor complete with a bar and lounge area that overlooks the store.
