Project Summary

Matt the Miller’s Tavern is an upscale tavern that got its start in Columbus, OH.  The West Chester location is the sixth overall and second in Cincinnati, after the Kenwood location.

Being an upscale tavern, Matt the Miller’s required upscale finishes. Upscale finishes typically have long lead items and long lead items in conjunction with tight schedules make for very narrow windows in which work scope can be completed timely, and without compromising quality.  Despite the conditions, Cintech completed the project within schedule and budget, with tact and ease.

The restaurant features a 450 SF private dining room, 1750 SF dining room, 1,271  SF bar area., and, of course, a kitchen at 1,200 SF.  Columns in the common areas are wrapped with a cultured stone veneer.  The flooring is balanced between multicolored brazilian slate tile, european cherry wood planks,  amber-hued sealed concrete, and carpet tile.  The coffee-stained wainscoting and trim throughout is handcrafted.  Throughout the space, decorative recessed downlights, chandelier lights, track lights, sconces, and goosenecks amply accentuate the textures of the various surface materials below.  The ceiling consists of suspended tectum acoustical ceilings recessed between soffits wrapped with coffee-stained wood slats.

All the details of these finishes collectively evoke the sentiment of the upscale tavern that Matt The Miller’s is about
