Project Summary
Cintech’s role for construction of the new Mystic Timber’s Roller Coaster entailed the T1-11 sheathing, roofing & siding, carpentry, staining/painting, and all MEP and fire suppression work of the Transfer station, the Ride Station, and the shed and tunnels which connect the two buildings. The encapsulated handicapped lift at the egress as well as the concrete sidewalks and handrailings at the egress were also completed under Cintech’s oversight.
All wood shakes, faux doors, rough sawn cedar rake boards, railings, and gutter boards were self-performed.
Access to the site was extremely difficult as it was tight, confined, and required coordination with the three other contractors under Kings Island’s oversight. Nearly all work had to be completed via articulating boom lifts and site conditions oftentimes were unfavorable. Work began in the second week of January 2017 and was completed in the last week of March 2017.
